‘Clychau’r Gog’ by Joseph Conran

Steel and brass, 2026
Clychau’r Gog is the Welsh name for a Bluebell, but its direct translation is ‘the cuckoo’s bells’. Inspired by R. Williams Parry’s line, “They come when the cuckoo comes / When she goes they go too,” this work celebrates migration and the seasonal dance of animals and plants.
