‘Trawsnewid / Transforming’ by the Seiriol Swimmers

beach finds, natural objects, 2026
A mermaid rests on the riverbank, woven from beach finds and the hush left by the tide. Glacial erratics dot the shore, silent witnesses to millennia of seasons and tides. Created by a circle of swimmers, who know the sea as acompanion, carrying their deep bond — how the water shapes them, and how it brings them together.
