Artist and Deep Listening Facilitator, Clare Brumby invites you to join a Deep Listening experience to celebrate the Summer Solstice in the magical surroundings of Plas Bodfa, Ynys Môn.
Immerse yourself in sound, silence and nature as we honour the longest day of the year through listening, movement and dreaming practices to cultivate connection, reflection and joy!
Bring a packed lunch, water and a blanket or cushion. Wear comfortable clothing and come with an open heart.

Deep Listening
as developed by Pauline Oliveros, explores the difference between the involuntary nature of hearing and the conscious nature of listening.
The practice includes bodywork, sonic meditations, and interactive performance, as well as listening to the sounds of daily life, nature, one’s own thoughts, imagination, and dreams, cultivating a heightened awareness of the sonic environment, both external and internal, to promote experimentation, improvisation, collaboration, playfulness, and other creative skills vital to personal and community growth.

Clare Brumby
Clare is an artist who’s process and project-based practice explores themes of culture, gender, identity, ritual and power, seeking to challenge perceptions, bring about individual and collective healing, and create positive social change.
Clare’s work is underpinned by the practice of Deep Listening and its application to everyday creativity and she recently became an official, 'Eartified' Deep Listening Workshop Facilitator, through The Center for Deep Listening, New York.
She looks forward to holding space for you, to share this practice in a sonic celebration of the Summer Solstice.
The session will include sonic meditations, a sound walk, and movement and dreaming exercises, including scores from the book 'A Year of Deep Listening: 365 Text Scores for Pauline Oliveros', launched this year to mark Pauline Oliveros' (the founder of Deep Listening) 90th birthday year!
