Inspired by Mabinogion stories, Blodeuwedd—made from flowers to be Lleu Llaw Gyffes’s wife—falls for Gronw Pebr, together plotting against Lleu. Punished by being turned into an owl, this transformation becomes Blodeuwedd’s liberation - her freedom from a life defined by others.
