We were so pleased to host Gillian Brownson for our second and third ✨Cysur y Sêr ✨ Constellation Stories session in collaboration with the Wales-wide Adverse Camber Welsh-language storytelling project.
What a day exploring Yr Tarw - Taurus, the mourning oxen whose tears were so great he created a new lake near yr wyddfa.
Thank you Gillian for guiding us through myth, memory and our Welsh night skies!
Through dynamic storytelling, drawing, discussions and acting, we met Yr Afanc, a giant beaver/dragon/sea beast, angry and wild, causing havoc in the communities of the Conwy valley. We met the elders, who concocted a plan to use music, the calming song of a local girl to bring forth the beast, send it gently to sleep in order to wrap it in chains and move it away.
