Aberlleiniog Sculplture Trail THE FILM, screening at Sinema Llangoed

On Sunday 11 October 2026, we gathered at Sinema Llangoed for a special screening of Aberlleiniog Sculpture Trail – The Film, a one-hour documentary by Culture Colony following the 2026 Sculpture Trail. Bringing together artworks, landscapes, artists and unexpected encounters, the film offered an opportunity to revisit the weekend and share the experience with the wider community.

The documentary follows the 2026 Aberlleiniog Sculpture Trail as it unfolds across Llangoed Village Hall, the surrounding woodlands, river, historic castle and coastline. Through conversations with participating artists and footage of installations, performances and encounters along the route, Culture Colony captures both the artworks and the relationships between people, place and the wider environment.

A small presentation during the evening: Jo and John receiving a commemorative Sculpture Trail Film poster, with our thanks for their continued involvement and support.

The screening was followed by an informal conversation about the future of the Sculpture Trail and the launch of five open calls for 2027. These included four artist residencies and commissions through Olion //\ Traces, developed in collaboration with GeoMôn, Heneb, Red Squirrels Trust Wales and North Wales Rivers Trust, alongside the wider Aberlleiniog Sculpture Trail Open Call.

Our continued thanks to Culture Colony for documenting the 2026 Trail with such care and attention, and to everyone who joined us for the screening and conversation.
